About Walking by Nature
Gabrielle Young has over eight years of experience in the tourism industry on Waiheke Island, having founded two successful tourism businesses in the early 2000s: Giverny Inn, a boutique accommodation business and Visit Waiheke, a holiday home rental business. Gabrielle has also been Chair of Waiheke Island Tourism.
She also founded Giverny Gardens a permaculture training centre and demonstration garden and ran training courses on Waiheke in sustainable living for several years.
She is passionate about the outdoors, is an incurable adventurer, traveller and conservationist and likes nothing more than getting outside and connecting with nature. She has walked 400km on the Te Araroa trail in the South Island of New Zealand, hiked part of the Camino in Spain, and on the Amalfi coast. In 2016 she is hiking the John Muir trail in the United States.
Gabrielle has also consulted for many years in organisation development, HR, leadership development and coaching executives and teams for high performance.
She now combines her experience and passion for this work with this business by assisting others to get outdoors and discover the healing power of nature.
