Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact us – we do our best to respond to all enquiries promptly.

Can I pay cash on the day?

As we have a limited number of places available each day, bookings must be paid for in advance.

What time do we catch the ferry to Waiheke island?

Please catch the 9am Fullers ferry from Auckland.

What time will we get back to Auckland?

Depending on the speed of the group, we will return you to the 3pm or 4pm ferry, arriving in Auckland at 3:35pm or 4:35pm.

How will we find you?

On disembarking, look to the left where you will see our guide and welcome board displaying your name.

How fit do I need to be?

Our walks are suitable for active travellers with a reasonable standard of fitness. You need to be able to comfortably walk up to 4-6 hours a day with a day pack on hilly terrain as Waiheke is not a flat island.

Is lunch included?

Lunch (and ferry fares) are not included. We are happy to recommend and book on your behalf in advance or on the day.

Do we need to book in advance?

Our walking tours are small, personal and very popular. We strongly recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a daypack, sunblock, a rain jacket, your lunch if you like and wear good walking shoes. Don’t forget your camera!

What if it’s raining?

We will still walk unless the weather is extreme. In the event of extreme weather (highly unlikely) we will cancel and happily refund. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are concerned.

Please contact us if you have any queries at all. We are happy to help.
